Flemish mackerel

Mackerel baked in the oven with herbs. Nice taste and juicy meat. The dish is lean. It is a Belgian dish, but most Belgian dishes are French or Dutch in origin.

Produktai Flemish mackerel

Ingredients (for 4 servings)
Mackerel – 500 gr.
Lemon – 1 pc.
Chopped chervil and tarragon greens (if there are no such greens, at least dill and parsley greens) – 1 tbsp. each
Salt – to taste
Ground black pepper – 1 pinch
Ground nutmeg – a pinch
Vegetable oil – 1 teaspoon
A small piece of baked mackerel (100 gr) provides the body with the necessary number of micronutrients and healthy omega-3 fatty acids.

How to cook mackerel baked in the oven with herbs:

Clean, gut, wash and dry the mackerel.

Chop the greens, add salt, spices and 0.5 teaspoons of oil. Mix everything and put 2/3 of it into the belly of the mackerel.
Drizzle the mackerel with the juice of half a lemon and coat with the rest of the mixture.

Oil parchment, put mackerel on it and wrap.
Cook in the oven at 170 degrees for 45-50 minutes.

Unwrap the baked mackerel, sprinkle with the juice of the second half of lemon and serve hot with boiled potatoes or salad.
